Helping end childhood cancer

Sky High for Kids is sending a Cancer Warrior on the trip of a lifetime, and we hope you consider partnering with us to make Charlotte’s dreams come true! Sky High met Charlotte in December 2023 at the Christmas Carnival and it was clear just how special Charlotte is.

Charlotte is 13 years old and was diagnosed in February 2019 with Brain Stem Pilocytic Astrocytoma. She had a partial resection surgery in May 2019 after a failed chemotherapy round and was also diagnosed with Dystonia and Chorea due to the tumor.  Since then, a regrowth was found in October 2023, she has finished 25 radiation treatments Jan 2024.

February 2024, she underwent an updated MRI to gain new baseline and next steps. This MRI has found that the radiation worked on the tumor, yet has caused a great deal of swelling in the brain causing several setbacks and challenges for Charlotte.

Charlotte, her doctors, and family are very hopeful and are confident that she will get through this. She has an extensive recovery schedule this summer to regain strength and is using this trip as her motivation daily! Sky High is requesting travel and lodging to accommodate Charlotte, her brother, and parents on her dream trip to the Bahamas this fall. Below is an outline of options provided by our travel partner, Travel Machine, who will be coordinating the booking.
